What type of people seek my help

Successful, capable women who are quietly running on empty โ€” and whose bodies are the first to speak up.

Over the years people have asked me who actually comes through my door. It is a fair question, because the answer surprises most people. The women who seek my help are often the ones you would least expect to be struggling. They are competent, accomplished, and used to holding things together โ€” and that is exactly the problem. They have spent years being strong for everyone else, and their bodies have quietly kept score.

The woman who has done everything right

Typically she is in her late thirties, forties, or fifties. She has built a successful career, often a demanding one. She is the person others rely on โ€” at work, at home, in her relationships. On the outside everything looks fine. On the inside she is exhausted, running on adrenalin, and increasingly aware that something is not right. Often there are relationship issues simmering underneath: a marriage under strain, caregiving for ageing parents, children leaving home, or the slow realisation that she has lost herself somewhere along the way.

Her body speaks first

She does not usually arrive saying "I am burnt out". She arrives with a physical complaint โ€” because that is the language her body has found. The most common presentations I see are:

  • Chronic pain that has no clear cause and will not settle no matter what she tries
  • Migraines and tension headaches that disrupt her life
  • Recurrent injuries โ€” the same strain, the same weakness, over and over
  • Persistent fatigue that sleep does not fix
  • Vertigo, dizziness, and a feeling of being unsteady in more ways than one

She has often already seen practitioners. She has had the scans, the diagnoses, the treatments. And while some of it has helped, the pattern keeps returning โ€” because nobody has addressed what is driving the whole thing.

The nervous system is the missing piece

Here is what I have come to understand through years of working as a physiotherapist and kinesiologist: when a woman is burning the candle at both ends โ€” professionally, emotionally, relationally โ€” her nervous system stays in a state of high alert. The body never fully returns to safety. It stays braced, guarded, ready for the next threat. That constant state of fight-or-flight produces muscular tension, poor sleep, digestive upset, hormonal disruption, and a body that cannot properly heal itself. Over time, that is what shows up as chronic pain, migraines, fatigue, and recurrent injuries.

How we work together

My approach starts with stabilising the nervous system. Before anything else, we have to bring the body out of survival mode and into a state where healing is even possible. From there we work with the deeper principles of healing โ€” the emotions that have been stored in the body. We gently uncover and address the limiting beliefs that have kept her running on empty, the emotional blocks that have been holding patterns in place, and the identity shifts that need to happen for real change to last. This is not about re-living the past. It is about releasing what no longer serves her so her body can finally let go.

Lifestyle transformation that sticks

And then we build the new foundation. Lifestyle transformation is a core part of the work โ€” not generic advice, but a plan that fits her actual life. This includes movement that supports rather than drains her, and simple, powerful practices such as breath work that she can use every day to reset her nervous system. These are the tools that keep her well long after our sessions together finish.

If this sounds like you

If you are reading this and recognising yourself โ€” if you are competent and capable and exhausted, if your body keeps sending you signals you have been ignoring, if you are tired of treating symptoms that keep coming back โ€” please know you do not have to keep going like this. You do not need to fall apart to deserve help. You can come as you are, exactly as you are, and we will work together to bring your body and your life back into balance.
